Welcome to the world of quilting!
I love to quilt. You can quilt by hand or by sewing maching. But quitling is not a new thing.
Folks been quilting for thousands of years. Our history is base on our grandmothers and their mothers and grandmothers
quilting their way across the county. My mother quilted, and her mother quilted. One of my sisters love to quilt
just as much as I do.
I decided to make a webpage just for the quilters. This page will link you to other websites
that will give you information on the history of quilting, how to quilt, and how to take care of your treasure quilts when
they need laundry. I also going to provide you websites with different free patterns websites. I hope you enjoy these
websites as much as I do.
I belong to Mt. Taylor Quilting Guild here in Grants New Mexico where we share quilting patterns,
and quilt quilts for the Vets and the Nursing Home Residents plus others places. We have show and tell each monts where
the members come up with a lot of lovely quilts and quilts patterns. I am their photograph.
Quilting is part of my project I am doing which I am calling Christmas 2006. I am quilting quilts
and making baby blankets and quilts for the less privage children that may not have a Christmas if no one step in and made
sure that they have a Christmas. That is what my project Christmas 2006 is all about. I have from December 2005
- now May 6, 2006 already got about twelve - 18 gallons totes full of Christmas items like toys, clothes, purses, shoes, blankets,
and quilts. That just to name a few. I wish every one would get the bug of giving and start their own Christmas
project each year for the needly. It been said, "It is better to give then to received."
